As extreme weather events become more frequent and unpredictable, commercial building owners face new challenges in ensuring the durability, energy efficiency, and sustainability of roofs. To help address these challenges, roofing experts are needed to ensure buildings – whether supermarkets, clothing stores or offices – remain operational.
At Sigma, we pride ourselves on being a complete end-to-end service solution provider. We also pride ourselves on having industry-leading individuals throughout our business, with expertise engrained throughout every department. The most recent addition to our range of services and solutions – a dedicated roofing team – is no exception.
By adding a roofing team – in particular specialists in liquid waterproofing systems for commercial properties – to our other core activities, we’ll be able to provide a more comprehensive and streamlined service to customers looking for innovative solutions to address the impact of climate change on their buildings.

More about the service
In the United Kingdom, the roofing industry is one of the sectors feeling the impacts of the changing climate. Roofing materials and design must adapt, and contractors must focus on innovative solutions to ensure the durability and sustainability of roofs.
With this in mind, Sigma’s roofing team will specialise in liquid applied waterproofing, which is becoming an increasingly popular solution for a host of requirements and applications.
Liquid applied waterproofing is suitable for roofing refurbishment, repair, new build, complex and inverted roofs. Fast application and rapid curing times means that disruption to building users is minimised, while new formulations, and the solution’s capacity to be applied over existing roofs, are making it the preferred choice over alternative bonded or torch-on systems.
While the roofing team will specialise in liquid waterproofing systems on commercial properties, they will also work with other divisions, such as the mechanical division and the solar team.
The addition of the roofing team will ensure our customers benefit from low levels of disruption when it comes to roof works, delivered with the highest value, quality and care.
