Sigma’s design team boast a range of qualifications, including interior design and architectural studies, and members of the team are also AutoCAD certified.
The team has worked on a wide variety of projects and installations. In addition to creating phasing, scoping, and technical drawings, they also provide advisory services, offering advice and support on aspects such as planning permission and building regulations.
Operating according to CM 2015 regulations, the team is backed by the Sigma Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team to help clients design, plan, manage and deliver a safe, value-driven project that meets the timescale and budget.

While the design team can work across several commercial sectors, they have specialist expertise in the retail industry, including retail store design, store extensions and interior design.
Working on some exciting projects, the design team have completed two projects for Boots World of Hearing – one in Chelmsford and the other in Guildford. The former involved a fit-out, with many aspects requiring design input and the development of specifications. The team were tasked with producing the layout for the store, as well as sourcing a mix of bespoke and standardised furniture and displays.
The Boots World of Hearing Guildford store included a full design and architectural service from inception to completion – including planning permission and building regulations approval – with the design team supporting the site team and working closely with the M&E division throughout.
The team also handled the design of a colleague canteen for Asda, which displayed how it was going to look and precisely what Sigma was going to do. By providing a clear scope, the team helped bring the project to life.
Additionally, the Sigma design team completed a turnkey project for The Works, considering all the necessary planning and building regulations and following the retail design stage process with the landlord to get everything signed off.
