Looking back at 2024 we achieved a great deal. From delivering exciting new projects for our customers and expanding our team, to assisting local charities and good causes. Here are some of the highlights of a jam-packed year.
We delivered an amazing 1,500 (plus) projects in Retail Solutions for our customers during 2024, with excellent results. Projects included brand refreshes and refits for leading fashion retailers, grocers, health and beauty, as well as many more.
In our aim to provide continually better services, Roofing has been added as a new service to our Retail Services team, to complement our End-to-End offer. In addition, we have launched our new product Sigma Seal, to help new and future customers save money.
Our Building Services team has been busy undertaking decarbonisation schemes for major food retailers, successfully planning and managing the installation of Solar PV, also Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), with a recent scheme saving 4,050 tonnes of carbon for a large grocery retailer.
Our work has also earned us the M&S Safety & Compliance Award 2024, and our SHEQ team has excelled in gaining two Planet Marks and a Cyber Essential Plus certifications. These, respectively, reflect the Group’s growing expertise in sustainability, safety and cyber security.
We are extremely proud to support one of our customer’s, Boots, Christmas programme, for a second year running. The team delivered one of the biggest properties schemes Boots has have ever completed, with nearly £7M of kit purchased and shipped to over 80 stores. It also included the launch of two brand new flagship Beauty Only stores in Battersea and Cork.
We have recruited four new colleagues to establish a new six-person Transport Operating Department team, to improve the use of our logistics fleet.
Our HR department has also grown. We have recruited a Talent and Acquisition Manager in our drive to bring expert talent into the business. We also launched Employment Hero, an AI-powered platform that centralises how we manage payroll, HR, hiring and employee engagement.
Ten colleagues received our prestigious Pride Awards and 22 received long service achievement awards, some of whom have been with the company for over twenty years. Many members of the team have also taken part in charity raising activities and community events including a Pugney’s Boat Race and a 21-mile Sigma Walk for Charity.
All in all, it has been a very busy, but successful year, one in which we have developed and grown as a business, served new clients, achieved new accolades, added new talent and services, while supporting many good causes. And, as the year comes to an end, we want to thank our clients, colleagues and suppliers for their efforts throughout 2024.
